The Running School
Rich and Chris spent an amazing week coaching with Mike Antoniades at The Running School in Chiswick. They were working with athletes of all ages and abilities from children to Premiership footballers. They are due to spend more time with Mike and the Team in September to further their abilities into speed and agility training.
The Running School has been set up to teach the most efficient technique for running. If you began a new sport such as golf or tennis, you would more than likely take lessons to learn the basics before you started playing. So why do people think they can buy a pair of trainers (normally quite expensive) and start running?
We are all different shapes and sizes but there are some sound basic principles that apply to everyone that if adhered to can lead to an efficient running style to increase performance and decrease injury potential.
The Running School has come to Bristol and is be based at Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic. We have experienced running coaches, who in your first session takes a biomechanical analysis which is then explained to you in understanding terms. Then we get to work on making your technique more economical. We incorporate a strength programme to compliment the improvement in technique to make for an effective improvement. A before and after video is then sent to you to show everyone the amazing changes achieved whilst being at The Running School.
