Amy Hiller / Sports Rehabilitation Specialist and Sports Massage Therapist BSc [Hons] GSR SMA

Amy is a
first class honours Sport Rehabilitation graduate from St.Mary’s
University
College, Twickenham and is a full member
of BASRaT. The sport rehabilitation, involves the assessment and diagnosis of
injury, biomechanical analysis, functional rehabilitation, sports massage
including deep tissue massage and myofascial techniques. As well as the fore
mentioned Sports nutrition and psychology are also fundamental aspects in the
rehabilitation of sports injuries to aid quick recovery.
Amy is
qualified at Level 4 SMA (Sports Massage Association) and has massaged at many
known events such as the London Marathon, Moon Walk, and has also worked with
semi-professional rugby clubs and the New Zealand Rugby squad.
In the
summer of 2010 Amy was given the opportunity to work with an American Football
team in Lock Haven,
Pennsylvania,
USA.
This opportunity allowed her to experience new and exciting rehabilitation techniques
and also work with Athletic Trainers who are very much alike Sport
Rehabilitators in the
UK.
Away from the clinic Amy is Immediate Pitch Side Trauma Care qualified by the
RFU so works pitchside for local rugby teams.
Amy is also
a running coach here at the
Running
School,
Bristol and
has received extensive training from the
Running
School headquarters in Chiswick,
London.
