Chris Kay

Chris is a fully qualified Sports Rehabilitation Specialist who graduated from St Mary’s University in Twickenham and is a full member of BASRat. The course specialises in diagnosing injuries, biomechanical assessment, functional rehabilitation techniques, sports massage involving deep tissue and myofasical techniques as well as nutrition.

Sports Rehabilitation is an up and coming profession that focuses on a functional and active recovery from injury. It aims to find the source of the injury to reduce likelihood of re-injury and provide advice on all aspects of treatment. Although the name implies, sports persons are not the only people Chris treats.

Chris has provided sports massage at several events, including the London Marathon and worked as a massage therapist for International rugby teams such as South Africa and New Zealand as well as London Welsh Rugby Club. 

Recently, Chris has attended a course relating to manual therapy and the use of The Mulligan Concept which is a world renown technique in the treatment of many injuries. 

Chris is also the Head Running Coach at the Running School after receiving a high level of training at The Running School Headquarters in Chiswick.

After growing up in Bristol, Chris moved away to Australia for a year then to London to study and is very excited at being back working in his home town.  Away from work, he is a keen sportsmen including cricket, rugby and running.
