Sports Rehabilitation focuses on a functional and active recovery from injury. It aims to find the source of the injury to reduce likelihood of re-injury and provide advice on all aspects of treatment. Although the name implies, sports people are not the only people Chris treats.
Chris has provided sports massage at several events, including the London Marathon and worked as a massage therapist for International rugby teams such as South Africa and New Zealand as well as London Welsh Rugby Club.
Chris is also trained in the manual therapy technique called The Mulligan Concept which is a world renown technique in the treatment of many injuries. He also has a significant amount of experience in running and cycling injuries with lots of training in these areas. Chris is currently working his way through becoming a Joanne Elphinston Movement Systems Practitioner (JEMS) to become a movement specialist.
Chris is also the Manager and Head Running Coach at the Running School after receiving a high level of training from world renown running expert Mike Antoniades at The Running School Headquarters in Chiswick.
We also have strong links with Clifton Rugby Club with Chris playing and also helping the younger players get back on the pitch after injury. We are also sponsors down at Clifton RFC so look our for our board if you are down watching the first team playing.
After growing up in Bristol, Chris moved away to Australia for a year then to London to study and is very excited at being back working in his home town. Away from work, he is a keen sportsman including cricket, rugby and running.
