With origins tracing back over 3000 years, acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine being practiced today. It is a form of therapy in which very fine, sterile needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points around the body. In traditional Chinese medicine, stimulation of these points is thought to restore health by promoting the free flow of the body’s motivating energy, or Qi. There is a growing body of evidence to show that acupuncture can aid the treatment of various musculoskeletal problems in the body.

THESE INCLUDE:

  • Headaches
  • Neck and back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow
  • Osteoarthritis in the knees
  • Planterfascitis

Research studies have also shown that acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain relieving chemicals. These provide both pain relief and promote healing in the body.
